Downtown Culver City

The studio home is just one mile from downtown Culver City, one of the most exciting areas on L.A.'s westside. Centered around the historic Culver Hotel, the region has undergone a renaissance that has brought a number of new creative office and multifamily developments designed to take advantage of the area's desirable location, great weather, quaint, walkable downtown with numerous restaurant choices, and easy-to-access L.A. Metro station.

Some of the leading entertainment/tech firms, including Amazon Studios, Apple TV, TikTok and HBO, have filled the new office buildings downtown and the adjacent Culver Studios production lot property. The Sony Pictures studio campus is only a couple of blocks away.

Culver City's Metro Expo Line station has been incorporated into the new Ivy Station office/residential/retail development, which sits across the street from the eclectic Platform retail center. The Culver Hotel -- where MGM housed the munchkins while filming The Wizard of Oz - sits in the middle of an inviting public courtyard area that has recently been expanded with the completion of the Culver Steps project. There is also a recently opened boutique Palihotel downtown, which is housed in an older building that has been restored and infused with interiors that feel modern and urbane while maintaining its original bohemian art deco influences.

Just to the east, also roughly a mile or so from the studio unit, is the Culver City Arts District, home to a number of interesting art galleries and architecture/design-related businesses. This includes the Helms Bakery District, a historical Los Angeles destination offering popular restaurants along with a unique collection of design and home furnishings stores.
